If you are thinking about joining a group tour, but you do not know where to start or where to look, you have come to the right place! Researching traveling group tours can take hours and there are SO many options to choose from, some being cheaper and some being more expensive.

I have done extensive research and have found several websites to help travelers find a variety of group tours around the world that fits any budget, duration, and travel style.

Below, you can find three search engine websites that will find and compare hundreds of tour companies based on what you input into the search bar. You can filter these results by country and using options such as price, number of tour days, etc.

Tour Radar

Tour Radar has group tours and private tours that you can find for all seven continents; Yes – even Antartica! These group tours are all by different travel companies that will usually lower their original tour price a little to have their tours advertised and stand out on Tour Radar.

You can use the filtered options for many things such as the physical rating of the trip (relaxing, easy and moderate), must see cities within that country, the type of travel style you want (independent, cultural/events, adventure/nature etc.), tour group size, the length of the trip, and the departure month. All these filters will save you a ton of time as you can help narrow down the hundreds of tour options to a style that suits you best. You can also find frequent deals and sales on Tour radar so if you want the cheapest option but still want the value and fun of joining a tour on a budget, you can pick your tour exclusively from the tours that are on sale or that have a special deal going on.
This requires you to be a flexible
traveler but you may end up falling in love with a destination you never even considered! You can also find a lot of last minute deals if you are ready and able to travel NOW and want to fill a still empty space on a group tour that will be departing within the next few weeks. Some people say to book group tours as early as you can to guarantee a spot,
but it might just work out to be a cheaper and better deal to book a tour as last minute as you can, assuming you are ready to travel ASAP

Book Mundi is another search engine similar to Tour Radar for group activities as well as booking a private activity with a local tour guide. While Tour Radar is more commonly used for multi day or multi week tours, Book Mundi has plenty of options for both longer tours as well as day trips.
If you are looking for a one day trip in a specific city or country and want to get the best price, Book Mundi compares thousands of tour operators and their prices to make sure you get the best deal!

Viator is another reputable and popular search engine where you can find both day tours as well as multi day tours. They offer day tours that are anywhere from 1-12 hours so you can find the perfect tour to match your timing avalibalilty as well as budget. I have personally found that tours seem to be a little more pricy on Viator compared to other tour operators so it is always a good idea to check all three sources before booking to see if they have similar tours with fluxuating prices.

Not only is Expedia a flight, car, and hotel booking site, but you can also find daily guided group tours as well as discounted tickets for special tourist attractions. You can find a variety of tours for multiple activities such as pub crawls, musuem guides, walking tours, and history tours, among many others. Another unique feature is the option to search for concert , sports, and music festival tickets so Expedia alone has thousands of options to make your trip memorable and to make finding tours all the more convieant as well as the other aspects of your trip.

If you decide to book tours, whether just day trips or mutli day group tours through any of these search engines, make sure to create an account first before buying your tour. This gives you the chance to accumulate points for your purchases and possibly earn rewards. Next time you are looking for a group tour to join, whether it be a day trip or multi day tour, be sure to check out these search engines to find the best possible deal and option. And make sure to use the multiple filtered options to be sure you can find the perfect trip for your budget, travel style, duration, and time of year. These search engines have eliminated hours of research and have just made traveling a lot simplier and more conveniant.
